- About:Karnata Bandipura is an open-source Kannada and Latin display typeface based on the original Bandipur project by John Vargas Beltrán and Priya Ravichandran. As part of the Karnata Font Series by Sanchaya, I re-engineered the typeface to follow modern Kannada font development standards, including Unicode standardization, consistent glyph naming, OpenType feature implementation, and improved font engineering. The goal was to preserve the character of the original design while improving Kannada shaping, technical quality, and usability across print and digital applications. Technical notes:
